How many times have you let go of things that you desired so much? It isn’t an easy task. We know, that our longings, our desires and dreams have meaning and value to Him. He wants us to be happy. We can ask for anything, as long as He is in the center. As long as we give all our Thanks to Him.
How easy is it that we swaddle ourselves in the happiness of those moments that make our hearts eager and lit.
How hard is it to ignore the fear? Our prayers begin to wander back and forth filled with happiness and fear and we don’t even see it.
Sometimes, God is showing us what we could have.
Sometimes, it sits right in front us. Ready to just grab it.
Sometimes, we accept His gift,
Sometimes, we don’t.
God gave us free will and at the end of every decision it comes down to having trust in Him. We cannot control other people’s decision.
1 Corinthians 10:13 13No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Which means, to me that, whether we accept Gods gift, whether we get our desires or not, or even not seeing His gift at first and in unfortunate events realize way too late that it indeed was a gift from God, but now is gone. That God will never let us run into a storm without his protection, that we never walk in the dark alone, because He will be here with us. (Psalm 119:105 105Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path). We never walk alone.
Of course we fall and break. And I can only speak from my own experience. Every time I fall, I had walked alone. I had not reached out to Him enough-just recently,- I hadn’t enough faith to believe to deserve such gift. Ironically it was one of my most desires.
So you see, sometimes we long for something but don’t see it right away, or in my case, had too much fear to accept His gift.
In Proverbs ( 24:26 ) it reads ; An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips.
What a wonderful expression!
Truth hurts. But again, we are never alone.
Sometimes, we give back to Him what is in our hearts,
Sometimes, our fear blinds our hearts,
Isaiah 41:13
13 For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you.
